Being Spontaneous!

Yesterday I got a wild hair to take a quick trip to the zoo with little man. Since it was just the two of us we packed light, which with a 20 month old is a novelty, and left just after lunch.

Jack wasn't quite as excited about the sea lions. They were rather large as they swim past you in the window. I got lots of hugs at this stop! :)

We couldn't resist sharing an ice cream cone to finish off a fun trip!

Guess who enjoyed it the most! :)

Love this little guy!

We couldn't pass up checking out the dinosaur. Jack's new favorite book is about Dinosaurs and he can read the first two pages himself now we've read it so much! So seeing this guy was non-negotiable!

I think he had fun!

Randoms

Just a few randoms from the last couple of weeks! Enjoy and Happy Tuesday!

Priceless!

I'm always amazed at the ability children have of falling asleep almost anywhere. So I was dying of laughter when Justin found Jack passed out in his chair one day. We couldn't pass up snapping a few pics before daddy took this tuckered out little man to bed!

Do you have any pictures of falling asleep randomly as a child? I don't but my sister does...I think we even had video! But I will leave that to her to share someday...Kendra Tobler I love you!

Fair Time!

Rides, yummy food, animals, and lots and lots of people! Fair time brings with it many memories of my childhood! But with this and that we've missed going to the fair for the last couple of years. However, this year we decided Jack was old enough to enjoy the animals, a ride or two and the monster trucks! We met up with the "W" family and headed in for a night of fun.

Due to the fact that the munchkins aren't 36" yet this was the only ride for them this year!

Jack wasn't too sure before it started!

The boys

Jack LOVED the animals...go figure!

Ducks too...

"Whoaaeeeeeee"

Now that is a school bus!

Jack checking out a monster truck wheel

Pretty big tire!

We really had a great time seeing everything, eating some good food, splurging on ice cream and watching those huge trucks do some pretty cool things. I definitely think it will be on our calendar next year for sure!

Homegrown goodness!

As you can see below our chickens have really started to up their production! We are averaging about 4 eggs a day. Three of these are layed in the coop, the 4th is layed in our firepit by our one Rhodie red who likes to escape the coop despite me trimming her flight feathers! After about a month of small eggs we are finally getting some "regular" sized eggs! Jack gets very excited when its time to collect!

My first head of broccoli, I'm stoked!

Justin's favorite, lemon cucumbers. He will eat 'em right off the vine!

With all the nice weather we've been having our garden has been doing what it should have a couple months ago. Nonetheless we are enjoying our farm and all the things it provides us!

My Dapper Lad

My sister Kendra, got married two weekends ago. She was beautiful, the food was amazing, we danced the night away and Jack made it down the aisle without a hitch! Overall a wonderful experience that I feel so blessed to have been apart of.

Jack in his dapper outfit complete with sign and the flower girl. And my shoes, aren't they cute!

Cousins!

Love this girl!

The whole gang after the happy couple left

I wish I had more photos to share! As it was I didn't have my camera on me the whole night so I'm waiting to snitch photos from different family members and friends. Jack really did such a great job. His sign said "The Bride Is Coming" and the other side said "Please Rise". Justin walked him to the front of the aisle and I stepped out so he could see me, then he ran down the aisle with people standing as he passed. We couldn't have planned it better and I was so proud of our little man for playing his part so well. Now that the hustle and bustle of the wedding is over we have taken that energy and put it into working around the yard.

Our chickens are now laying eggs daily, so great! Although they do like to keep me on my toes by flying over their fence daily as well. They take turns so I never know who will come wandering into the yard! The garden is finally producing now as well, snap peas, zucchini's, and I even have some broccoli heads too. Jack tried our first cherry tomotato and loved it!

Work has been keeping us busy as well. Justin has been running windmill blades up the gorge daily, but that will be done Monday and I think he will be ready for the break. Last but not least here is a little video I got of Jus and Jack playing together. Love to you all and have a fabulous weekend!
