I also bought the "character" kit which allows you to cut out shapes from fruit and place them in the maker to make fun faces. These popsicles have been a lifesaver lately as Jack 6 teeth coming in!

Zoku
Isn't that face just adorable! Well both really! On a foray into downtown Portland some weeks ago my sister and I stumbled across this adorable popsicle maker at Williams-Sonoma.

First Day of Summer
I know, I know...its been over a month since I last posted anything! This was due largely in part to my computer motherboard kicking the can. Then add in catching up on work, planning my sisters bridal shower and just everyday stuff, well here we are!
Its definitely too much time to cover in one post so I will just share some pictures from our outing to the zoo yesterday in celebration of the first day of SUMMER! The weather cooperated nicely and we had sun and 85 degree temperature. We met up with some friends and had a picnic, watched a show and took a ride on the train!

Let it begin

Summer has finally arrived, and with it sunshine and gardening. Currently I have about 5 Sweet Basil plants, 3 Lemon basil, a couple Cilantro, Mint, and some Mesclun Salad mix, along with a myriad of flower starts on my back porch. Next year we will have an actual, huge, I got lost in the corn garden. So big in fact that I may have to declare it a community garden just to get some help in it! My husband loves gardening and has shared that love with me and I must say I'm hooked. I hope to instill that love in our son someday. But in the meantime I'm saving up some great ideas for gardening with your kids. Here is one of my favorites from Ohdeedoh a great website I am absolutely in love with!
